If you’re looking for a boutique hotel in St. George, Utah, then you have to book a stay at the Inn Santa Clara. The hotel is right on Main Street in the idyllic enclave of Santa Clara, which is conveniently located between St. George and Ivins.

My husband and I finally stayed at the Inn Santa Clara last spring after driving past it on multiple trips to the area and remarking how cute it looked. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, so I wanted to provide my honest review to help you decide whether or not you should book a room for your next trip to St. George.

My Complete Review of the Inn Santa Clara

My husband and I stayed at the Inn Santa Clara last March while visiting St. George for a mountain bike race that he competed in. The starting/finish line for the race was actually right across the street from the hotel, which made it an incredibly convenient place to stay. The Santa Clara history museum and city hall is also across the street.

The Inn Santa Clara is in a great location if you want to have easy access to outdoor activities during your trip to St. George. You can hit up local mountain biking trails straight from the hotel. Snow Canyon State Park, Gunlock State Park, and Red Cliffs National Conservation Area are also just a short drive away.

There are 4 farmhouse style buildings located on the property, so it’s not like a typical hotel with a lobby and standard rooms. You really feel like you’re staying in your own little apartment or at a friend’s house.

Immediately upon checking in (which is done virtually) you can tell that the owners put a lot of effort and intention into styling the room. We stayed in the D1 queen studio, which is on the ground floor right next to the parking area. I will say the parking spaces at the Inn Santa Clara are pretty small. It wasn’t a problem for my husband’s regular sized truck, but if you have a large vehicle things may be tight.

The highlight of our room was definitely the bathtub, which is located between the toilet area and shower. There’s a clear sliding door that separates the bathroom from the sleeping area. Due to the layout, I thought the room was perfect for a romantic couple’s trip.

The highlight of our stay was when owners surprised us with complimentary fresh pastries from a local bakery one morning. I don’t think they do that every morning, but it was a really thoughtful (and tasty!) treat that helped elevate the experience. It’s safe to say that we would definitely stay at the Inn Santa Clara again!

How much are rooms at the Inn Santa Clara?

Rates for the Inn Santa Clara vary depending on which room you stay in and the time of year. Most of the year you can expect to pay between $200-250/night, but during peak season in the fall rates go up to around $300/night.

Is the Inn Santa Clara dog-friendly?

The Inn Santa Clara is not pet-friendly. If you’re looking for a pet-friendly place to stay in St. George, I recommend the Best Western Coral Hills, which is located downtown. It’s definitely not a cute, boutique hotel like the Inn Santa Clara, but it has a nice pool.

Who is the Inn Santa Clara for?

The Inn Santa Clara has 15 unique rooms with a choice of either a queen or king bed. There are a couple of suites that also have single sofa sleeper beds for families traveling with kids.

I would primarily recommend the Inn Santa Clara for couples looking for a romantic getaway in St. George, especially if you choose a room with a central bathtub. It would also be a great place to stay for solo travelers. I noticed there were also a few families who were staying when we were there, but they all had young children.

When should you visit St. George?

St. George has become a popular travel destination in Southern Utah that sees visitors year-round. I’ve personally visited during the winter, spring, and fall, and would recommend planning a trip during any of those seasons. It can get very hot during the summer, and since I plan my travels around getting outdoors I avoid visiting St. George this time of year.

What are the amenities at the Inn Santa Clara?

The amenities available at the Inn Santa Clara vary depending on the room you stay in. Like most hotels, the Inn Santa Clara offers free wifi, a microwave, TV, and mini-fridge in all of the rooms. Some rooms also offer fireplaces, spacious bathtubs, and/or a private outdoor patio. Our room had a bag of chocolates when we checked in along with eye masks and bath salts, which were a nice touch.

St. George is a popular destination for mountain bikers and cyclists and the Inn Santa Clara offers secure bike storage during your stay. E-bike rentals are also available on-site through Blue Raven Bicycle Co.
